If I Should Die Before I Wake

Photobucket

I know I would be hating Hilary after reading about her in the first chapter of the book. Hilary is full of hatred toward Jews, she is a very bitter girl whose goal is to eliminate all Jews with her Neo-Nazi gank. And I also know that my heart would go to Chana after reading her struggle to stay alive during the atrocities. However, I cannot say I like Chana better than Hilary.

I don’t like both of them, in fact. I don’t like Chana because in the beginning of the atrocities all she wanted was to get out, just out..to be save with her family. But the struggles made her had to not think and not feel..just live the life. God forbids I ever live Chana’s life, but in a way I understand Chana’s reactions. It’s like first don’t think, don’t feel..then you get to be alive.

Hilary, though an antiJews, becomes Chana’s friend through a time travels. Though Chana, Hilary learns how does it feel to be Jews. Yeah, I guess you cannot really say you understand others until you live their life, isn’t it?

I salute Han Nolan for writing this book, even I had a nightmare the first night reading this book. I give this book a five stars because I learn to cherish my life even more now because my struggle in life is nothing compared what Chana’s struggles to stay alive).
