Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace

Photobucket

I remember the first day of my kindergarten, I was not scared but excited to go learning new things. I remember my school was built in a strong ground, save environment and good community. In fact almost all the schools I went to were perfect. I never knew who built those schools, maybe the Indonesian government, maybe the local government or who ever..I didn’t care back then who built them.

I realize that not everybody in Indonesia has the benefit to go to school like me. Still I wasn’t that care whether those other people went to school or not. I didn’t care whether our government or local community would built schools for those unlucky people or not. So imagine my shock knowing in other part of the world there’s someone who actually cared enough to build school for people he didn’t even close to.

I am so touched reading Greg Mortenson’s struggle to build schools in areas so dangerous, so secluded, so very far away from technology. He didn’t just build schools, he also made family with the people he just knew, he actually cares about them. He changes other people’s life.

I have never realized how lucky I am until I read this book. Three Cups of Tea is the book that I recommend to everybody in Goodreads because this book is worth of your other hundred books.
